The contemporary arts festival titled “French Spring” is set to open in Hanoi with participation from more than 150 performing artists from May 20 to June 18.

The 2nd annual event will incorporate art expositions, contemporary dances, circus performances, film screenings, and fashion and music shows, with the aim of encouraging a dialogue between French and Vietnamese artists.

The multi-disciplinary festival is set to open Tuesday evening at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnography with an exhibition titled “The Birth – Actions, Objects, and Rites.”

Besides Vietnam, the “French Spring” festival will be held in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Mali, Thailand and China.
